The Japanese Metroid website updated with a little notice, about a side story from the pirates perspective. More likely than not it's probably not a game.

And if it is a game it's not a platformer.

Wouldn't surprise me if Nintendo wanted to add content to the GameCube-on-Wii games, even if minor.
