beginners blues

I'm new to mugen,and I recently downloaded the:Hi-Resolution Screenpack Melty Blood EVO v2.0 by Kohaku. And I don't know the following:
1. where to put the portrait file that came w/the screen pack
2. the steps to add characters/stages to the new screen pack

To use the custom made portraits, you have to go to the SFF file that you want to replace and replace the 9000,1 portrait using your favorite SFF editor. remember, the offsets of these portraits are 2,1

to add characters and stages, you must first go to the screenpack's select.def file, located in the data folder, and follow the directions located in the top of the text file.

Thank you for thwe fast reply. Could you please tell me where the  under what what folder is the SFF files located I looked ,but could n't find it.

For the character? Should be in the character's folder somewhere.
