Yeah good luck on the online play with that. Even in Animal Crossing: Wild World, with only TWO players it has a tendency to time out. Only happened to me like twice though.

When I played ACWW I had left who ever the host was town before anything could happen because I was testing the wi-fi play because it was my first time playing any wi-fi game.
