Therefore, I believe, with the latest roster, that there are 2 more characters that await unlocking.
One is Tabuu, that's for sure.  But... What about that last one?  Or has Nintendo cut at 35?

Hey I just remembered we still don't know T. Link's Final Smash yet. I'm betting either the same as Link's or Cel shaded Landmaster.

He looks to be also a Fox clone he seems to have a blaster and reflector... there is also the issue of the "Wolfmaster". I'd take a guess and say he was a last minute addition.

Edit: Report of his move set.
B - Blaster. Less range fires slower than fox and falco, but looks stronger.
Forward B - Same as Fox and Falco's shadow fox dash thing. Only Wolf's goes slightly upwards too. At about a 25 degree angle.
Down B - Reflector
Up B - Like Firefox, only it doesn't really charge, goes really high though. Maybe it only goes up?

Yup, he's a Fox clone, but with a little Luigi (up b not viable recovery). I say we blame this on all the tourney ***s who only used Fox and Falco in Melee. They SO could have given him an Assault move set (in honesty though he would end up being a bit similar to Snake then but it'd still be better).

One last thing, the leak that confirmed all these characters said 41 stages. Apparently we have 4 more to go. The DK and Kirby franchises still have only one stage. (Mother, Star Fox and F-Zero have 2, past stages)

Even though Mario and Luigi were very similar in SSB and Melee, they had two very distinct play styles to them.  Same goes for Fox and Falco: Similar characters, clearly different play style.  You had to employ different tactics for each.  Even though they shared similar movesets, you had to fight differently because they inherently handled differently.

Luigi jumped higher and fell slower.  Even if you tried to play him exactly like Mario, you couldn't because of that change.
Falco was a bit heavier than Fox, and his moves didn't get as much distance as Fox's.  However, his blaster had a stun effect.  You had to fight a completely new way.
Young Link was smaller, and had less range than Link.
Ganondorf in Melee was much, MUCH slower than Captain Falcon despite having similar movements.

CLONES in terms of characters are characters that play exactly like one another (Ryu & Ken pre-SF2T).  Going by that logic, there has never been a single clone in the Smash Bros. series.
