F-Zero apparently isn't (it's still possible for someone to get it in, Goroh was just the most likely choice so it's not likely), and maybe not even Metroid as ZSS isn't really a character addition.

Metroid would be, Earthbound, if anything just for the fans of Ness (I know a bunch of good Ness players who would be pissed about him not being in the game), I don't think FZero would be, though... hasn't had a game since GX....

You forget Metroid is rather unpopular in Japan, which is the primary market of this game.

F-Zero had a couple of GBA games and an anime after GX, Jody Summer seems to be the only character left with even a remote chance of being playable.

And about F-Zero, I still don't think it'll have a character besides Falcon, and even if the game is starving for more Female characters, I don't see how she would play, let alone be an important character but I've never watched the anime so...

Yeah, the last Metroid game to sell well in Japan was Super Metroid.

The point isn't there will be another F-Zero character, it's that it's unlikely that there is another Mother rep if F-Zero a more well known series, does not get one.

Furthermore, the move set argument is weak, they came up with ones for Falcon and the Ice Climbers despite never having fought much in their respective series. The only reason Summer still has a chance is in one of the earlier interviews he said he wanted more female characters... and there hasn't been one new one yet.

So yeah, in short if F-Zero doesn't get another character, Ness is probably dead.

From the sounds of the Wario video, seems Wario can inflict poison effect on his foes.

I loved the Snake Eater reference in the Yoshi video. I figured there'd be one somewhere, so Snake wanting to eat Yoshi works.

Although it'd probably make more sense for him to want to try and eat Pikachu... guess that would scar to many Pokemon fans.
