Great, as if the name "Rayquaza" didn't sound ghetto enough, they had to go and give him an essentially blackface color scheme.

UHMEEEEBA

Isn't that just his rare version though? You know like Red Gyarados in Gold and Silver.

That Rayquaza palette has been in the game since his introduction, but it's impossible to get through normal means because of the game coding, and it was really only there to keep the game from shitting itself if you broke the Gameshark out. So in a way, it's weird that they're using the failsafe colors for Nobunaga's Rayquaza, but it looks kinda neat (and hilarious for blackface).

The bad news is Nintendo changed the region's name to Ransei, so all jokes about hyper weapons piercing the heavens will be as valid as Sinasta's XBOX360.

So after being announced over a month ago they finally released some information on Black 2 and White 2.

Same place as the last game only with new player characters some new areas and at least two new gym leaders set two years later and there's also a new professor. There's more Pokemon available in the game with some older ones being brought back in game such as Psyduck and Eevee. Most of the areas from the original have frozen over.

There's never going to be a dark type gym is there?

Jango

Rival's quote is awesome: "From now, I'm going to rage!"

And the trainers look less ridiculous this time around IMO, and a rock house-themed gym is awesome, even if it's poison type and they missed the obvious joke (thank god)

UHMEEEEBA

Well there hasn't been a poison gym since Janine back in GSC right? So I guess a new one was a bit overdue.

That link has since been updated and has pointed out that a few of the areas not frozen over have had things removed, seems kind of odd.

You forget localization coming into play.

Woah back the fuck up are those Team Rocket cronies a little more than half a minute in?

Jesuszilla

Dunno, only a side view so I can't tell.

Is it just me or does this one look like it has a LOT of detail put into it compared to the other games?

Indeed. Why, check out this gameplay footage from yesterday's Pokemon Smash.

★ Pokémon Black 2 and Pokémon White 2 - Gameplay Footage Part 1/2! VS Rival (Pokemon Smash 4-15-12)

The rival's animation is beautiful, but what the hell kind of name is "Hihihiroshi"

★ Pokémon Black 2 and Pokémon White 2 - Gameplay Footage Part 2/2! Reshiram VS Black Kyurem! (Pokemon Smash 4-15-12)

Witness Black Kyurem and White Kyurem in action, and also the announcer do a piss poor Joseph Joestar impression
