Well, thought I might as well give this forum a jump-start.

Basically, in this thread, you will help contribute to each individual storyline as well as help us figure out how to make each one tie in with current canon. We will also be assuming that Geese is dead, since this takes place after Garou.

If you are wondering which teams tie in to the main storyline, it's the Boss Team and the Secret Team. Who's on the secret team?! Ryu?! Gouki?! Nakoruru?! POPPY?! Nobody knows! No guessing or any discussion until I say so. They're secret for a reason.

RET'SGO POPPYYY!!!!

"GAME!" the announcer yelled as said word appeared on the television screen.
"This game's winner is..." "Hah! Beat you again, Dad!" Mel shouted in triumph over the volume of
the game's audio. "Yeah? Well at least I can still beat you in an actual battle," retorted Ken.
This quickly silenced Mel, as he had learned to not question the fact the hard way after many
attempts to try and defeat his father. Despite having not participated in a tournament in years,
Ken was still quite a fighter, although he had not had any opponent other than his son since his
last tournament. These thoughts somehow caused Ken to be reminded of Ryu. They had not seen one
another in a long time, as Ken was busy trying to take care of Mel and Eliza, while Ryu was out
on the path of the warrior, searching for stronger opponents.

     Suddenly, the doorbell rings.

Ken walks over to the door and opens it to find Terry Bogard standing at the door.

"Hey Ken..." Terry says sluggishly.
"Ah, Terry! Haven't seen you in a while," said Ken. "So... What's going on?"
Terry lifts his head up, and hands Ken an envelope.
"What's this?"
"It's an invitation I was sent for some sort of tournament."
"Another one?"
"Yes, and I was wondering if you would like to join up with me."
"Well..."

Ken was thinking about it. He still had to take care of Mel and Eliza. But on the other hand,
he had been feeling that something was missing in his life, and maybe this just might be his
chance to fill that void.

"Well what?"
"Um... Well, as you can see, I have a family that needs tending to and all, as much as I want to
participate... Speaking of which, why me? What happened to Joe and Andy?"
"They seem to have received their invitations before I did, and seeing as Mai received one as well,
you know she wanted to fight with Andy if not merely to spend more time with him, with me and the
old gang out of the way."
"And Joe?"
"Like I said, he received an invitation before I did, and he said something about joining a team
 with only Muay Thai fighters."
"Hmm... Well... Give me a chance to talk things over with Eliza first."
"OK. Guess I'll see ya whenever."
"See ya."

As Eliza was laying there in her sleep, Ken just stared up at the ceiling, thinking about
Terry's invitation.

     He nudged Eliza softly.

"Eliza... Eliza, wake up."
"Nnph..."

She slowly woke up, although barely.

"Wh.. What's going on..? What time is it..?"
"Never mind that, listen... There is something important I wish to talk to you about."
"What is it? Can't it wait until morning..?"
"No, it's really important."
"Okay. So, what is it?"
"OK, so here goes. Terry came over."
"Terry? Terry Bogard?"
"Yes, and he gave me this invitation to some sort of tournament."

This got Eliza's attention and sure gave her a good wake.

"Aaand what did you say to him?" Eliza asked softly yet firmly.
"I told him I'd talk things over with you first; put my family before a tournament."
"..."
"Look, I know it seems crazy but lately I've been feeling like something is missing. As if... I've
been separated from something that gave me almost as much joy as you."
"... It's Ryu, isn't it? You miss him, the fighting..."
"... Yes..."
"I understand. I mean, it's been so long since you two have seen each other."
"I'd visit him if I could, but he's on the path of the true warrior. He's always on the move. It's
tough to keep in touch with him."
"Hmm."
"This tournament... I can feel that his presence MUST be near..."
"I see... I HAVE noticed that you"

Eliza thought to herself, "Maybe this could cheer him up a bit. He has seemed a bit sad."

"Okay, then. I'll allow you to participate."
"Really? Oh thank you honey!" He kissed her on the cheek.
"I think it might be good for you. Now let me sleep."

She turned off the light and they went to sleep.

The next day, Ken met with Terry at the PaoPao Café.
"Well, how'd it go?" said Terry.
"She said yes."
"OK! Nice! I kind of had a feeling she would."
"Now that that's out of the way, do we have a third teammate?"
"Sadly, no."
"Damn," Ken muttered to himself. "So think. Who could we get?"

They thought about it for a few minutes until Ken looked around. He noticed a poster on one of
the support beams. A smirk formed on his face.

"Hey, Terry, I think we just found our third teammate."
"Wha-?"

Terry looked in the direction Ken was facing and saw the poster. It was an advertisement for
a wrestling match, featuring Alex and Haggar.

"Hah! Nice find, Ken. I say we make an appearance."
"I just hope they haven't sold out."

So they found themselves in Alex's room after the fight.

"So let me get this straight, you two are asking me to participate in this tournament?" Alex asked
 sternly.
"Well, yeah. It's supposed to be pretty big," Terry replied.
"I feel Ryu may even make an appearance too..." said Ken.
"Whoa... Ryu...?" Alex asked, astonishingly. "Are you serious? He's going to be there?"

For years, Alex had been on the same path as Ryu, in search of him. He had returned to pro
wrestling, almost giving up his search.

"I am not for sure, but... I know he wouldn't pass up an opportunity like this," said Ken in a
rather serious tone.
"... Well, it's worth a shot. I'm in!"
"All right!" yelled Terry. "It's good to have you on the team."

With over a decade since the fall of the organization known as Shadaloo, the Orochi, and years
since the organization known as NESTS was brought down, taking Southtown with them, the world was
somewhat at peace. The King of Fighters tournament, still being held regularly, still had its fair
share of suspicious activity. The previous tournament had ended some time ago, and it would be
quite a bit of time before the next was held. As for Street Fighter, several years have gone by
without word of the next tournament.

Until one day, someone decided to hold a tournament. Invitations were sent to those who were
deemed worthy enough to participate. Among them were those who participated in the Street Fighter
tournaments, as well as King of Fighters. Even some new faces who had participated in neither were
sent invitations.

     "Greetings.

I am pleased to announce the beginning of the first Collision Course tournament.

Collision Course is a very exclusive martial arts tournament. We want only the best battles,
so we obviously want only the best warriors to participate.

You are among one of those very few we deem worthy enough to compete.

We know of your abilities, and would be honored if you would participate. In fact, you
should feel honored as well, to receive this invitation!

      Rules:
      1. You must compete in teams of three. No more, no less.
      2. Fights will be one-on-one. Once a team member is KO'd, the next team member will step in
to begin the next match. Once all team members have been defeated, victory is attained.
      3. Assisted attacks are allowed, but they may last no longer than approximately 10 seconds.
      4. No harming the audience or stand-by fighters. Violators will be immediately disqualified.
      5. Weapons are allowed, just as long as their usage is not in violation of Rule #4.
      6. We accept no responsibility for death or injury incurred during competition. You are well
aware of the risks and as such are responsible for yourself.
      7. No sexual harrassment of the other competitors.

Matches will be held in various locations worldwide. All expenses will be paid.

The first match will be held in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA on July 8, so form up your teams and
      get ready!

The prize for the winners? Whatever your heart's deepest, most secret desire may be...

      Sincerely,
      Jonathan Kreutz"

Nothing is known about this man, or why he is holding this tournament, but one thing is for
certain...

Some mysterious power surrounds all this...
