Normally I don't post rumors, but hell it's from THE Mother/Earthbound fan site. If anyone has leaked information on the Mother/Earthbound elements in Brawl, they would. They could still be wrong so don't take this as 100% fact I just don't think Reid or Tomato would lie about it, their sources might though just to screw with them.

They stated they were given information on the Franklin Badge ahead of time and the info about it was devilishly accurate, and thats why they decided the rest of the info might be legit.

Lucas from Mother 3 to be Brawl. Along with a few Mother 3 spoilers*. Ness might not be coming back.** Whether or not ANY of this information is true will be remain to be seen.

*Earthbound AND Mother 3 Spoilers:Their source says Pokey/Porky/King P will be in the game somehow and becomes the Mayor of a city. Likely an antagonist in the Adventure Mode or in the background of a stage.

**I was expecting this because they almost axed Ness from Melee but only didn't cause Mother 3 was at that time canceled. Said so on the official Japanese Melee website when they profiled Ness. It'll be a shame if he goes but Nintendo would probably want the most recent protagonist of the series in the game (see Roy in Melee and Ike and in Brawl).

Just now watched the vid from the previous update. Nintendo seems to like Petey Piranha, don't they?



But does this mean Zelda and Peach will be unlockables rather than those you can choose from the start?

Honestly, them getting kidnapped makes no damn sense since they could've easily both taken on Petey Piranha.



In addition, those enemies look like Final Fantasy ripoffs. I wouldn't be a bit surprised if Square was lending a hand.
