Coin Launcher, today.  A new way of getting trophies instead of pushing your luck and getting the same trophy once again.

Fusion

After some Kirby's Air Ride stuff, we learn that the site's gonna be on break 'til January 7th.

Updating resumes tommorow.  Predictions?

Are they going to reveal characters?  Or more miscellaneous details?  Or are the updates they plan to bring this week going to be the final updates, given that the game releases very soon?

UHMEEEEBA

Crap. The delay likely fucked with their schedule.

Fusion

Today's update, a few more stages from Smash Bros. Melee return!  Yes, just from Melee.  They didn't re-invent them, just re-used them, like in Super Smash Bros Melee with the Super Smash Bros. stages.

Looks like the Polygon guys are back, and better than ever!

Not to mention that posture confirms that a certain F-Zero racer is in fact in Brawl.

Jesuszilla

Not necessarily. The N64 could not handle too many polygons at once (due to processing power, among other things) and as a result, the models in the first Smash Bros. all looked VERY polygon-ish. With the GCN's superior specs, they were able to make the character models look less like polygons and more curvy and realistic. Because of this, there was no Fighting Polygon Team in Melee, but rather Fighting Wire Frames, both of which are models of the characters with different textures.

The model in that pic is a mix of both, and I HIGHLY doubt that if Falcon were in that he would look like that.

Wait... doesn't this guy look a bit like an animal crossing villager?

UHMEEEEBA

No more than he does the aliens from Meteos.

Jesuszilla

He actually does look like an AC villager.

Smashboards confirmed that that isn't an AC character, because the pose it's in is one of Mario's turning poses.  Blue Alloy is Zelda, Green Alloy is Kirby, and Red Alloy could be none other than Captain Falcon himself.

CAPTAIN FALCON OLIMAR is now a PC.

Also: Due to this update, and the fact I slipped in "Falcon" there, I have a new joke:

OLIMAR PUUUUUUUUUUNCH

What the fuck Nintendo?

Also, the Horns are convincing me otherwise, which'll get Nintendo another what the fuck.

I see Olimar finally got over his inability to jump. That's nice. Figured he'd be in the game and glad to see there at least trying to make him resemble the way the game works. I'm guessing different affects depending on which Pikmin you want to use as a flail, i.e. White causing temporary poison status. Second note, I feel bad for the designers, his palette swaps are going to be a nightmare.

At least Olimar has the balls to fight alongside his minions unlike some other people who hide out in the background...

Pikmin Genocide*, along with the entirety of Path of Radiance where two of the floor fads last year; so people here are liking Olimars involvement, as we can now have a fad battle. Now if we could just get Grit from Advance Wars then man we'd be all set.

Calling it now, there will be a special moves update for him soon.

Oh and for those wondering, the original version of the World Map song.

Also, doesn't his inclusion kind of wreck hell with size arugments?:

*Pikmin Genocide: The act of intentionally killing mass numbers of Pikmin solely based on the fact they don't have Flower Status. Prefered Method is drowning. Heck Olimar is quite clearly doing it in his portrait pointing the Red Leaf to certain doom:
